I always get so melancholy when I take down the Christmas decorations. Don’t get me wrong, it is time for them to come down, if not this week then maybe next.
But for some reason the house always looks so barren once they are gone.
I know I will get over it in like a week and everything will go back to normal…but still.
Am I the only one?
Better get working on making the baby blanket for a special little bundle of joy that entered the world a couple of days ago…Benjamin! That will cheer me up

I am usually ready to take the tree down but then wonder what to decorate with until Valentine’s Day.
i am feeling the same way, even though we only had a Christmas branch:)
i leave everything up until jd complains about them still being up…. plus, he doesn’t take the outside ones down until its “warm enough”. i always joke that if you leave them up till april, i call them easter lights!
We didn’t even decorate this year since we went away for Christmas, but that in itself was kind of depressing
I’m going to have to make more of an effort next year!
