My New Years resolutions was to ENJOY more time with my kids. I so often get caught up in the busy, busy, busy, that my kids will sometimes take a backseat to all of the planning, doing and going in my life. Playing with them becomes more of an item on my to-do list, versus something I actually want to be doing.
So when I saw one of my favorite bloggers Simply Modern Mom was doing another Project 52 this year, I thought it would be a great way for me to slow down and focus on the little moments of Motherhood. The ones that you want to capture forever, because you know it will all be gone in the blink of an eye.
This week happened after we had been running around during playtime. The girls were both thirsty so I whipped up some apple shorle, a mix of sparkling water and apple juice, and a family favorite after our stint in Germany. They were so thirsty that both of the girls started downing it from the same glass as I held it in my lap. I instantly knew I wanted to capture this moment on film…
After all, how long will their heads stay that little and be so close to mine at the same time? I love this moment, as only a mother would.

aww, those little fingers and check out those cheecks! im constantly staring at my little girls and just loving their sweet little features. i too, know someday they will be grown and we will never have these moments again. boo hoo:)
Absolutely adorable! I miss them! Take in and enjoy every day. I know from experience…. They grow up fast, but grow up into beautiful women, marry wonderful men, and have precious grandchildren so all is not lost my dear!
