Project 52 – I love my Mommy

I love my Mommy. Even now, as a grown woman with a family of her own, I still tend to call my own Mom ‘Mommy’ in times of stress.

My Mother is going into surgery today for her back, and I can’t be there for her. Well, I could have, but my Mom chose to have me come the following week when she would be home and needed ‘grandkid cheer me up’ as she was recuperating in bed.

So today I sit on my hands and wait and pray until the phone call comes that the surgery is finished and was successful. And all I can think of is…

I love my Mommy.

  1. I hear you, sister! My mommy is staying with me this week (her spring break) to help out (I had back surgery a while back and strained it last weekend) and soak up grandbabies too! There is nothing more comforting than mommy love! Keeping your family in my prayers!

  2. Bless you, hope you receive that phone call soon. Praying that all goes well.

(And, this is the first time on your blog, but I had a question: where do you find nice fabric online? There aren’t many store options in my area.)

  13. I have 3 kids, my son is 4 years old and my girls are 24 and 25 years old – they ALL call me Mommy (sometimes Mama) and I love it! I had back surgery a year ago and my baby girls and baby boy made me so happy during my recuperation. Hope all went well with your mommy!
