Every now and then, you make something you absolutely fall in love with. That for me was the Bustle Backpack! I loved it so much, I ended up making it in 4 different colors, and had to restrain myself from buying more fabric to make all the colors in the rainbow…

A while back I came across this Bustle Skirt from Simple Simon and Co.. Well, that got my juices flowing, and all I could think of was how cute that little ruffled backpack would look bouncing up and down on my daughter’s back as she runs around.

I shied away for a while from working with it, because all I could think of was how much work it would be to cut out so many darned little circles! But creativity got the better of me, and I wasn’t going to let fear keep me down from realizing my vision! Thank God I went for it, because I ended up finding out just how non-time consuming they really were…I whipped those circles out in under 10 minutes!

Chloe absolutely looooooooves her new backpack, and so do I. I am still trying to figure out what to do with the rest…maybe a giveaway?

Here we are surprising Chloe with where we are spending our evening, she wanted to wear the bustle backpack to hold her $5 that Great-Grandma had given her earlier…she thought maybe we were going to the toy store! Lol

And for your information, no we did not sneak in through the No Trespassing area! Lol
