Snap Wrap Dress Remix

I first came across the Snap Wrap Dress at Prudent Baby when I was looking to make a few quick, last minute sundress for our family vacation. I loved the way the dress came out so much, the pattern immediately went into my 'Go-to Pattern pile', so that I would remember it whenever I needed a dress in a pinch.

Flash forward to one of Grosgrain's Inspiration posts, where she had a lovely picture featuring Anthropology's new Wedding Dress line...and an idea was born.

Putting my own spin on it to keep it kid friendly, while giving it the classic preppy / going sailing look, I give you the Snap Wrap Dress Pattern Remix!

I chose to make it out of white linen, which of course will be ruined but I can never seem to stop myself from buying (its love obsession), and matched with shades of blue. I am absolutely in love with how this dress turned out! So light and breezy, can be used as a quick cover-up, an easy sundress, or even dressed up for a more elegant affair!

Like the headband??? Guess what...I am still hanging with my girls over at The Girl Creative, like every Tuesday, and will show you how you can whip that baby up in no time!

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing my personal entry in the Pattern Remix Challenge! I hope you guys are looking forward to tomorrow, Amy from Naptime Crafters will be here with us - and you are going to love what she has for you! 'Til then...Happy Sewing :)

  7. Oh my goodness, I LOVE this dress! Incredible! I want one in my size (although I think it looks cuter on your little girl than it would be on me)! The white and blue look so beautiful and crisp together . . . it'll be fun while it lasts ;-) Great dress!

  11. Hello,
I just loved the Spring Fever Dress. I made it for my granddaughter's birthday coming in June. I did have a problem that by the time I added the last ruffle it was to narrow at the bottom. I removed the last lining with ruffle already attached and made the lining and ruffle twice as full. This made it perfect. I do not know if anyone else has commented on this as a problem. Thank you for sharing your pattern and I will send a picture of my dress when she wears it.
