Well, recently Shauna contacted me with the most generous idea
of having a giveaway that coincides with the release of her newest pattern
for Shwin Designs.

You didn’t know Shwin & Shwin now has their own Pattern line?!!
Well, let me introduce you…
A couple of months ago Shwin Designs released their very first pattern for sale…
Let’s just say, I fell in love.
So to answer your question, YES – I do buy and make things from patterns as well! If there is a pattern that I simply must have, like this one, I am all for it! I fully support people who make and sell patterns. The amount of work that goes into creating a fully graded pattern and digitizing it for sale is incredible, and my hat goes off to those who put in that time and effort. The second I got my grubby little mitts on this particular Abbey Jacket pattern, I was all over making one for Madeline…
After that, Shauna released her next Pattern. This one came from a design she made during Season 1 of Project Run & Play, The Sweet Little Miss Jacket…
Not only do I remember when I first saw this jacket on PR&P, but I totally voted for it! I loved it from the start!
And now her latest release has me swooning yet again, and this time it is for the BOY 
Introducing the Jude Jacket by Shwin Designs…
Here is where it is good to have friends in high places, because she totally let me try it out! YEAH!!! I was so excited to get my hands on this design, that I immediately made one for an adorable little boy I knew…
Nathan loves his new jacket, so much so that I couldn’t get him to stand still for one second during this photo shoot! HA! The entire session was done with the camera in ‘Sports’ mode. And I thought my girls were active…lol.
The pattern was super easy to put together, with easy to follow instructions. I made mine using a pair of thrifted navy khakis, and it came out awesome! The best part? It took me less than a couple of hours to put together! Yeah for easy designs!!!

I’ve liked the Abbey Jacket for a while but that Jude Jacket sure is cute. I’m so glad you posted pictures of Madeline’s! Also, that last picture has a lovely amount of background blur, which is super impressive with sports setting.
