Shirred Button Tab Leggings Tutorial, Spring Collection 2012…

IMG_3615

I recently saw someone pair the cutest gingham shirt with a pair of polka dot bloomers, and I was in L-O-V-E. With the Spring Collection rolling around I thought…well, why not?!

After stumbling across the perfect polka dot T Shirt at the thrift store, I was in business…

TightsCollage

The tute is really only to show how to add the shirring and button tab at the bottom. I have always been a fan of the leggings / tights tutorial that Made by Rae put out, and have used it ever since. You can find that HERE. Simply don’t add the feet to make them into leggings.

It is pretty simple, and you will be turning out leggings like nobody’s business once you give it a try. Trust me…it’s addicting.

And there you have it.

Now simply sew the rest of the tights together like the Made by Rae tutorial instructs, and you are in business! A pair of $1 tights by using a thrifted shirt, leftover scrap fabric to dress them up a bit, and a button…it is fabulous. Everyone will wonder where you are always getting your fabulous designed tights!
