I love this! I want to make it for my son. I don’t think it’s too girlie, do you?? I love the buttons. My son is only 3 and is learning zippers and buttons, but hasn’t mastered, ok he hasn’t even really figured it out much at all, them. So this would be a little bit easier to help him learn to button!
I think it would DEFINITELY work for a girl or boy! The design can go both ways, all you need is the right fabric! There is a really cute laminate that just came out from Riley Blake called ‘Peak Hour’ that I am totally digging, would be perfect for a boy:
