Dinosaurs in the City…

I thought I would have a little fun this post…

You see, this week I am back home in New York visiting with family and friends that I haven’t seen in ages. Many of whom have had lots of little babies in the meantime, that I haven’t met yet. What does this mean? PRESENTS!!! Yahoo :)

Lucky for me I stumbled across a vintage Simplicity Craft Dinosaur Pattern 8378 at the thrift store a while back and was able to pull it out just in the nick of time. 




I am not going to lie, making 8 of these guys all in a row was not exactly the most fun task ever.  Not. at. all.  In fact, it was down right painful.  



But I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!  These are going to make the absolute cutest present ever.  



The girls can get their dresses, bloomers, barrettes and backpacks, and the boys – well, I think they lucked out.  



And as for me, I will definitely be making more of this pattern.  I mean, how cute would these be in a new baby boy gift basket with some receiving blankets and bibs?!

Ok, I know I am a dork.  But – HA!!!!

Speaking of New York, guess what I am doing tomorrow.  That’s right!  Shopping in the fabric district!!!  So fun :)

    I love the dinosaurs they are so cute!!! Any little person (boy or girl) would love to play with them. Well I would of as a little kid anyway.

    Those are VERY cute. All the kids are fortunate to receive something made by you! Those dinos are super cute, great choice of fabrics.

    What cute dinos! I had no idea such a cool pattern existed! I’m gonna go on the hunt for this one cuz I have one dino obsessed 5 yo boy who would love ‘em! Your pics are too funny…..haha! Can’t wait to hear about the fabric shopping….I’m a bit jealous, though :)
