This was quite possibly one of my favorite fabric finds from my NYC fabric district shopping spree. It was a last minute grab in one of the smaller side street shops, a beautiful Italian cotton. I was walking by and saw this sitting in a large pile of bolts – it drew me in like a moth to a flame. I needed to have it!!! So much so, that I couldn’t even wait for the gentleman to come grab the bolt – I picked it right up off the ground (which is generally frowned upon for liability reasons).
I knew this was going to make a fabulous dress for me, for Chloe, for somebody.
My Mom thought it looked like a shower curtain when I showed her. Maybe she was right.
I still love it though.
I used the quick and easy maxi dress tutorial found HERE by A Small Snippet. Very easy to follow and highly recommended.

I happen to love it…not a shower curtain at all!
Such a cute dress!! Love those photos.
And LOVE the new blog header! Soo stinkin cute!
xoxo
It turned out sooo cute! Loving that fabric! I can see why you jumped on it! And I have actually looked at shower curtains before and thought that they might make cute clothes…..haha! It is a sickness we (fabric lovers) have, I think
Love that fabric! Great photos – that background is awesome!
Love your new design! And I adore that fabric! I would’ve definitely picked it off the ground too.
That fabric is adorable. Isn’t it great that a fun fabric can just make your day, make you smile when you might have frowned? And even better, a fun dress you made out of fantastic fabric to make you smile and strut your stuff? Love it!
Sweetie, it made a beautiful dress, not as beautiful as you, but beautiful!
Beautiful!!!!
Great job! Just don’t stay at the motel it looks worse than Bates!! lol….
Definitely dress not shower curtain. Ha.

That fabric is pretty sweet! a dress was the perfect choice.
Love it for both. I would totally make my girls a dress that matched the bathroom. Is,it from tru-mart? Any left?
