Hello Frankie – Trick or Treat Backpack…

The Frankenstein backpack has been on my list of ideas for a while now, and when I had a free moment last week I finally decided to go for it!

Using the same pattern found in my Bustle Backpack HERE, I whipped up this monster of a bag in no time. The only problem?

Ben apparently hates wearing backpacks. Who knew?

So once I got him over his fears and assured him that he would not be wearing it again, he finally started playing with it. See the snot? Extreme close up. Lol

Making the Frankie Pack is pretty easy, and you still have plenty of time before Halloween. Here is what I did…

Then continue to assemble the backpack as instructed in the Bustle Backpack tutorial (found here) with the lining.

And there you have it! A kid friendly, non-scary, Frankenstein Backpack.

And don’t worry about Ben, I have a 3 year old nephew who actually did love the bag. Yeah!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…

Happy Sewing!
