Lucy, You Got Some Splaining To Do…

Some of you may have noticed that a mysterious logo has started to appear on my pages. Who is the Sewing Rabbit? Well, it’s time for some splaining.

When I started this blog over 2 years ago, I really didn’t know where I was going with it. I had no idea what I was doing, if it would be successful, or even what a ‘blog’ really was to tell you the truth. I remember when my sister first said the word to me – ‘Blog’. God Bless You, I am sorry, did you sneeze?

Then she started her own and was quite successful with it, and as any good sibling knows, the general mentality is ‘if she can do it, so can I’. And that’s really how Me Sew Crazy was started.

I looked around for a blog name that would fit, most were already taken. That’s when I stumbled across Me Sew Crazy. It fit. Its cooky, it resonates with a certain 90s genre that I grew up with, and it is generally my life with 3 young kids running around as I try to sew. Its who I am.

As I look back I am amazed at just how much the blog has come to mean to me. It has stretched me to try new things, learning so much in the process. To think outside the box in ways I never thought possible, and most importantly to DREAM BIGGER DREAMS. Me Sew Crazy has become a part of me, I look forward to posting, sharing my love for sewing with others who understand my passion, and talking with my friends every day. Its a connection I never thought to make, the connection with all of you, that I am so thankful for. I feel truly blessed.

But as with all things, there comes a time when you need to stretch your wings. And with the coming of 2013, its time for me to soar. As you may have noticed, with the new logo came a new blog design, with new interesting title pages to discover.

All of which I look forward to properly introducing you to soon. I am growing, reaching out and trying new things. And that’s where The Sewing Rabbit comes in.

Growing up I was nicknamed ‘Jessica Rabbit’ – and when I got married, my last name actually became Abbott. With a middle initial of ‘R’, we all found it quite humorous that indeed, I had become Jessica R Abbott. Now say it fast. Jess Rabbit. That’s me, I am literally the Sewing Rabbit.

Of course, I will always be Me Sew Crazy, its my blog – and my first love. Its what started it all. But as I stretch out my wings to soar, I needed room to be able to grow.

The Sewing Rabbit will encompass all that I am a part of, and doing. Including my blog, SewSet, Girl’s Night Out Dinners, and more exciting things I look forward to introducing you to soon! The Sewing Rabbit is who I AM.

I hope you will come along the ride with me, here is to flying higher!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…

Happy Sewing!

I love it – maybe especially because bunnies have always been my favorite and I’m slightly jealous that you have “rabbit” in your name, hehe! It really does look awesome though!
