I have been sewing so much for myself lately in preparation for Alt Summit, that it put me in a bit of a rut. A sewing damper if you will. I missed my true sewing passion, sewing for my kiddos! So after putting on my thinking cap, and browsing for a little Pinspiration, I got to work. I knew immediately I wanted to hand stamp something, what can I say – I just love painting on fabric! It really makes me feel like I ‘created’ something by tapping into my artistic side.
And with all of this fabulous oatmeal linen on hand, it was an easy choice. I am just really drawn to modern, clean, and simple lines lately. Easy style, classic taste, with a modern twist. I am pretty much in love with how this dress turned out, and as with most things I make – it really couldn’t be simpler. A tulip sleeve peasant dress DIY. Something really easy to sew, and extremely comfortable for the kids to wear this Summer.
Tulip Sleeve Peasant Dress DIY.
Let me show you how to make this easy hand stamped heart tulip sleeve peasant dress. First, you will need a rubber stamp, and fabric stamp ink. Take your fabric and stamp your design onto it, paying attention to the grannie when stamping so that your custom stamp design is going in the correct direction.
Once you have a yard of fabric hand stamped and dry (of course you can completely skip this step and just use regular fabric for the dress), its time to cut out your pattern. Getting a regular fitting shirt simply…
A super cute and easy handmade & handstamped dress that both you and your kids will love.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…
