When Shannon of luvinthemommyhood asked if I would be interested in reviewing her Sweetheart Dress ePattern, I nearly jumped out of my seat! I have been eyeballing this dress for months now and with Valentine’s Day around the corner, it is simply perfect!
I mean come on, could there be anything cuter? That heart cut out in the dress back is ideal for any little girl!
What I loved about working with this ePattern was the fact that there were only a few pattern pages to print out. I wasn’t spending precious sewing time taping together 30+ pages, which makes it great for a quick and easy sew. Shannon’s instructions were easy to follow, and even gave me some tips and ideas for new bodice sewing constructions. Furthermore, being the knitting type that Shannon is – her button loop technique was not only gorgeous, but something I had never come across before!
But what I found most endearing was that Shannon managed to include some of her fun-loving personality in her ePattern. She actually had me laughing, just like her regular blog posts, and I love that! Usually these things are so cut and dry that to read an ePattern and find my friend’s personality embedded in it, that was not only refreshing, but priceless.
Needless to say, it received rave reviews from my girls as – seen above in Kate Spain Cuzco Metro Ikat, and below in Sarah Jane’s Children at Play Hopscotch.

I really like your fabric choices for the dresses. I don’t know why this pattern felt a little intimidating for me, so it’s nice to hear it’s not a 110 page print out.
