Spring Collection 2013
One of the hottest fashion trends seems to be printed jeans this Season, which I absolutely love. The problem? They always seem to cost so much more than the plain ones. Not wanting to reinvent the wheel and sew up new jeans altogether, I found a couple of less expensive colored jeans from a local discount store and broke out the hand-stamps.
I don’t think I need to tell you how ridiculously easy these were to make. All you need is a stamp and some fabric paint. Chloe is particularly fond of the gold polka dot jeans, and I don’t blame her. L-O-V-E.
Afterwards I whipped up some new T-Shirts that I simply re-sized from thrifted $1 adult Tees.
If you’ve been following along for a while now, you know that I cannot resist the Coca Cola icon. I have used it in past projects like this Sienna Dress remix for Project Run & Play where I had some fun reverse applique on the logo.
Re-sizing T-Shirts is such a quick and simple project, here are a couple of photos that show just how easy it can be…
It really just requires you sewing the back and front together. Of course this version isn’t the most professional, but it is certainly something that can be done in under 20 minutes – and who doesn’t love that?
I believe that sometimes sewing should just be quick and fun.
Kinda like these Tees.
And just like that you have a couple of easy new outfits that your child will love!
Gold polka dots and nautical look done the easy way? Yes please.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…
