It’s no secret that I have a fabric love affair with all things Nani Iro. Her double gauze fabric is like butter, its all things right in the world. The problem? Finding it here in the states is terribly difficult. There are only a couple of on-line stores I have found that carry this designer’s gorgeous textiles, one located all the way in Japan. I order from them any time I need a ‘happy mail’ day.
What is double gauze fabric you ask?
“Double gauze is literally two layers of gauze that are woven simultaneously. At regular intervals (often about every 1 or 2 cm), a yarn from the top layer exchanges places with a yarn on the bottom layer, effectively “basting” the 2 layers together during the weaving process.” – Super Buzzy, fabric 101
